I've made it back through the fog In my head, was met with a surprise Now I am told I have to go and explore The world with my own eyes I kinda just wanna sleep I don't have a choice I step outside for a walk With my dog, to see how people think One's telling his wife why they're better than their neighbor Because their fence isn't chain link That's gotta be sarcasm right? They're side by side It's just another sunny suburban Saturday In the spring Greeted with a shallow smile and a wave from The neighbors across from me The kids are outside enjoying life Playing in the streets And my dog shits on the neighbor's tree *Aw, I forgot the doggy bags* Poking around a garage sale I find a vintage beat machine Next door there's a man watching his daughter Water the grass in efforts to keep it green What's pressuring him to waste water in a drought? It's just another sunny suburban Saturday In the spring Greeted with a shallow smile and a wave from The neighbors across from me The kids are outside enjoying life Playing in the streets Making the most time living rent-free

Carbon Copy 02:21
You would think it's hard to be lonely With neighbors all around me But in my garage with hopes and dreams Sure feels lonely I'm lonely Lonely Here I sit by myself in this two-story Built-on-a-40-acre plan, All of them identical themed Hard to be yourself when everything Around you's a carbon copy I'm lonely Lonely While they're all satisfactory Go ahead and try to travel away Far from the place you were raised It's in you from birth , an endemic stain Hopefully the Man can take it away At least I'm safe at the sacrifice of being interesting *Fuck*

The Way 03:26
"BB Gun" Tommy *spoken* [Both] [Spoken] Hey that was pretty good, dude "Thanks man I appreciate it" No worries, what's your name? "Uh, you can just call me BB Gun" For sure, I'm uh, I'm Tommy Apollo "Nice to meet you" Hey, I'm looking for something, you wanna come along? "Uh, sure I am too, let's go!" Alright for sure, so what exactly is it that you guys do around here anyway? [End] "Everyone here sleeps hard after a glass of Easy T." So everyone trudges on without ever thinking critically? "*Exactly* stuck in mediocrity the rut slowly douses their torch" So eventually they won't care what goes on beyond their own front porch? I guess I don't know where people stand "No one really reaches out to give you a helping hand" "Using our legs, we're on our way" To launch this dog into space "Unlike those before us we will" Walk at our own pace "This journey's going so well it's almost to easy" [Out towards the city] So are these people victims of circumstance or choose who they want to be? "This isn't a puzzle they just make it puzzling." So everyone has their life set up for them, and there's no one to blame? "As long as they teach us more than just how to behave" "If I were to gauge We all got lost by the time we reached this age" "Using our legs we're on our way" To launch this dog into space "Unlike those before us we will" Walk at our own pace "This journey's going so well it's almost to easy" [Out towards the city] To switch a pup for my kitty I'll show that I am listening And doing what she told me

Block Party 04:12
"BB Gun" [Spoken] (Surburbanite) -All- [Spoken] So who is this guy anyway? "Uh, his name is the Red Flyer. He helps you get whatever you want. Within reason." And so we're gonna find this guy here? "No, but uh, he's not going anywhere. We'll just kick it here for a sec and, you know. Chill." Are you sure we're gonna have enough time? I mean, I guess you said he's got nowhere to go. "Time for some brewskies, man. Always." Alright, well, I guess I might as well try to find out what these kind of people are [End] Every weekend's a small relief from my 9-5 The house was cleaned last weekend by my at-home wife Sore from sitting at my desk every single day Dreaming of that promotion or at least some better pay (My newborn acts so fussy Now my husbands he's talking to that hussy Down the street) Is this the way that people greet? -Hey neighbor, it's been a long time We have the day off the weather is fine We spent our nickles and times to pretend that We're genuinely happy. Block Party!- (Thank God this happened because my babysitter's off After the long week I don't want all the chaos It's really my me time to relax and kick up my feet And about time I soaked in Paul and Karen's Jacuzzi) "Their envy gets really bad, Especially when test driving the things they don't have" That makes this kinda sad -Hey neighbor, it's been a long time We have the day off the weather is fine We spent our nickles and times to pretend that We're genuinely happy. Block Party!-

"BB Gun" Tommy (Suburbanite) Evening falls a man walks by while scowling at the floor Wringing both his hands and growling (I should have asked for more The Red Flyer took my wish and turned it into a joke As if he secretly knew I'd eventually choke) "That's where we want to go" (Dumb kid don't waste your time) I'm sure you asked too much and that we'll be just fine "Middle finger up at us, climbed into a Mercedes" Ranting instead of watching crashed into a pole at full speed "Don't worry, he should be alright. So far that's the only weird shit that's happened tonight" And that's when the telephone poll decided to ignite The wires crackled in the dark And the body burned, lit by a spark Screaming from the corpse emerged a ghost Tearing down the street from its old host And as we followed this dark display It paused outside an Alleyway The Scorpion took interest in devouring its despair The specter opened up on finding its anger was bare (I wished I listened to the words the Flyer spoke to me Instead of playing with the gift I'd gotten for free) "I'm sure he'll help me break the mold To escape the place which caught us in a stranglehold"

Monochrome 04:30
"BB Gun" Tommy (Red Flyer) (I peddle useful things, nothing I can't bring And though I'm not divine, my words are worth the climb Fools come far and wide, for gifts not the advice No matter how concise, it tramples on their pride) I just need this one last thing I just need... "This trail is dangerous, but press on we must Cuz I must reach the top, and nothing will make me stop" (Doesn't matter what they ask for, big or small They fly with newly given wings, not prepared to fall Then they lick their wounds sitting safely in their homes Complaining nothing ever changes, lost in their rage, they're) Stuck in monochrome Stuck in monochrome I just need this one last thing, and that will end my suffering I just need this one last thing, and that will end my suffering (I've seen a thousand other's reach up for the crown Then they lose their footing fall right back to the ground Still I can't give an ounce of pity for their plight Seeing how they're set up if they play their cards right) (Fools come far and wide, no one is denied Tell me what you think you need And maybe you will succeed)

BB Gun "Red Flyer" "Have you noticed? I have noticed What you wished for The way you fix it is what you've been given What you've had all along By the way I had forgotten when a star is born The particles change, home will be rotten We hold it in our palms Yeah" I feel like I've been asking all, When we slip we crawl Down the mountain But here, where I know fall I'm hauled, in the bucket Think I'm lost now but I just found out Where I'm going Gonna start now, til I found out my place on this planet "By the way I had forgotten when a star is born The particles change, home will be rotten We hold it in our palms When a star is born, a star is born, When a star is born When a star is born, a star is born, When a star is born"

Rat Race 04:20
Tommy "Nameless" -Both- Lost once more as the skies turn to grey The beat machine lights up and shines towards the way I must go Hitchhiking inside a car, fender bent out of shape I asked her where she's going, and she said "To escape. Life's very different You wouldn't make it if you tried Now let me take a breath and I'll explain why" "Cog in a machine, with no dignity Cog in a machine" -Hands kept busy and eyes focused, turned down To beat poverty, but really ran into the ground Time's the enemy, and it slips away vanished With the money without a trace Til sleep relieves us from the rat race- "The dark circles under my eyes is the light split from My friends in overtime For every quarter of a dollar you'd make I'd have Five cents of my manager's dime" -I'm not a machine, I have dignity, I'm not a machine- -Hands kept busy and eyes focused, turned down To beat poverty, but really ran into the ground Time's the enemy, and it slips away vanished With the money without a trace Til sleep relieves us from the rat race- Lost once more the beat machine lights up And shines it's Light on her I know I must follow I'm not a machine, I'm not a machine...

Escape 03:05
Tommy "BB Gun" (Spirits) -All- New memories fill space old ones left behind Though I can hear the echoes deafening my mind The spirits say (Don't be lazy in your chase, Break our endless cycle Follow Nameless for her life path will be insightful) Doesn't matter if I'm skilled or weak Or trip over my own feet At the end of the day I'll go the only way I know To escape And most humans, affluent or poor Struggle against the world in an attempt to Even the score While one breaks away, and others follow suit Some fall short and leave behind That pursuit -Whether they're skilled or weak They'll trip over their own feet At the end of the day They will follow the only way they know To escape
